Great bowler, a lovely humble guy and  someone who never forgets his roots. He took a lot of stick in his early professional years from ex pros ( including the great Freddie Trueman, I recall) because of his unorthodox delivery style where his eyes were looking down and sideways as he released the ball.

they nearly broke him while trying to remodel his action. Fair dos, they worried he'd do himself an injury, as all too many England bowlers have; but he's proved very durable.
