does anyone know how to remove the 'memory' my computer seems to have for google searches? E.g. when typing in "a", it will bring in a drop down box with all searches i have performed using google beginning with the letter "a". Any help appreciated

you need to turn off auto complete.

In internet explorer click on the Tools menu option and then Select Internet options, click on the content tab and then AutoComplete.

Click on clear forms and that should do it.

...If using Firefox as I do then click Tools then select Clear Private Data, and in the Options box check Browsing History and then finally the Clear Private Data Now button.......

...I f you don't want it to happen again then Tools/Options and on the Privacy tab uncheck the box which says Save information I enter in forms and the Search Bar....

If you are not using Firefox then can't help sorry.....commoner.

Double click in the empty google search box and the history of searches appers, place the cursor over the top one so it is highlighted then press delete this will delete it....if you keep your finger on delete it will delete them all.

Try a program called Window Washer with a 30 day free trial at www.webroot.com
