Thanks for your help; the computer is a new HP with windows XP.
I have deleted all the history, cookies, files etc. But still in the top panel of internet options (home page) when I type in my first w of www.gogle.co.uk it list a whole group of sites that have been visited including some secure financial sites that I have registered with which is a concern. It is possible something very simple that I am not doing but I have tried everything and is now getting frustrating. I have set the history to zero days and tried the left hand side of the mouse to see if this will give me options but nothing.
Any further assistance would be appreciated
