I usually ask buyers to pay with paypal however is there:
1) a different method than paypal that transfers the money to your bank quicker?
2) A method that doesn't charge as much as paypal?

Yes, you could give your bank details to the buyer who could transfer the money, but for obvious reasons i wouldnt advise this.
Direct bank transfers are very very safe - and free for both parties.

There is more information on evey cheque - plus a signature - than is needed to transfer money.

It can take a few days for the money to show in your account - it depends on your bank and the bank the payment is coming from.

However, it is not attractive to buyers because it does not offer the protection that PayPal does and is not as instant.

Nochex.com allows payment from debit or credit card. The payer gets the standard credit card protections. It's cheaper than Paypal. Transfer is almost instant.
oh, that looks interesting. I've been tempted to buy something today which is rare, but my experince of PP is not good. I'll have a look at www.nochex.com now
