Downloading AVG

I'm about to download the free version of AVG. I've still got Norton Anti Virus installed on my computer. Am I supposed to uninstall Norton before I download AVG? I'm stuck !!

You should uninstall Norton before installing AVG.

It is not good to have two anti-virus on at the same time.

If you have not got a firewall then download the free ZoneAlarm while you are at it (it is better than the Windows XP firewall)

I thought there was something about 2 anti-virus programs running at the same time.
Thanks vhelpful, I've got zonealarm written down aswell.
Spybot do you think also?

Jut to be clear: You need to uninstall Norton before installing AVG, but not before downloading AVG!
