What is this ?
I have just added my Hotmail account to my Outlook XP - and now get the error message "Cannot contact LDAP Directory Server"

LDAP, Lightweight Directory Access Protocol, is an Internet protocol that email and other programs use to look up information from a server.

make sure you have the correct settings within Outlook for your hotmail account.
