IE 7 and Google toolbar - duplicate search boxes
I have Internet Explorer 7.0 and Google toolbar 4.0.
Both provide a search box on the toolbars, which means one of them is redundant and a waste of space. Can I remove it?
I want to keep the Google toolbar because I like the Form Spellcheck button.

One of them is not really redundant. They are not the same search engines and may return different results.
One search engine is provided by Google the other by Microsoft.
It does not hurt to leave them both on the toolbar.
If you do want to remove it try the small arrow to the right of the word Tools (in the top right). Select on the arrow and you get a small menu. Select Toolbars from it.

You can't remove it. If, like me, you only ever use Google, you are better off getting Firefox. At least with that you can remove the built in Search bar and just use the Google Tool bar. Incidentally, Firefox also has a built in spell-checker, which is useful when filling forms and submitting answers to AB.

Unless you have set Google as the IE search engine. But you're right, it would give you the option to have two different search engines handy. I'm perfectly happy with Google though.
