frost wire / limewire windows firewall problem

ive selected the program as an exception and clicked on allow exceptions for my windows firewall, but the wall is still showing on the blhc of limewire even after a restart

For a start...The Windows Firewall is a rather poor example and it is less than efficient .You would be better with a more secure firewall such as Zone Alarm or Sygate Personal firewall. Check them out on the download sites such as Tucows or Download.com.If you are a regular user of P2P sites..You probably already know about the "crud" that gets through to your system from these sites..You therefore need a decent firewall and a good AntiVirus to help keep you reasonably secure.I've known people have issues with Windows firewall and Limewire and they switched to ZoneAlarm and configured their programme priorities without any problems.Hope this helps....
