Don't know if this is the correct section to ask this question in. With the festive period just passed junk mail seems to have doubled with offers for new credit cards and loans. What is the best way to stop this mail? Is there somewhere I can register my address to at least reduce the amount that drops through the letterbox?

It will eventually block a large percentage of junk mail but is ineffective against mail from abroad or mail addressed to "occupier"
We signed up to the MPS and Royal Mail. WE do not have any junk mail delivered specifically to us ie credit cards and the like, but royal mail still drop all sorts of flyers and letters addressed "To the occupier" on our door mat, despite telling them twice, not to do that. This, i assume, is because Posties get paid extra for delivering them.
