Systemdoctor 2006
Ive recently had a virus or something very simliar on my computer. it hijacked my home page and said my computer needed security. It was from systemdoctor 2006. I have avast antivirus installed and also mcafee firewall. but these did'nt seem to get rid of the problem so i downloaded CCleaner, STOPzillia, and Ad-Aware SE Personal. Eventhough i have now got my home page back i am still a bit wary that there is still somthing lurking on my computer. The performance is very slow compared to before and my internet Explorer closes its self down. And it is also having a lot of trouble staying connected. it keeps saying that Internet Exporer is not responding. It also sounds like somethng is trying to open in the background. As you can probably tell im no expert on computers and neep a bit of help. i am worried about passwords and things getting picked up. (eventhough since having this virus i have only been on one thing that needed me to type my password in and that was email)
Have i got too many anti virus etc downloaded? or do you think that i have still got this virus? please help

1. Run Spybot (http://www.spybot.info/) - it will clear up a lot of nasties.
2. Run HijackThis, http://www.spywareinfo.com/~merijn/index.php, and remove any traces of System Doctor's "Browser Hijack Objects" - BHOs. Be careful using this tool, whilst its interface is generally easy to follow, its actions can introduce more problems.
3. Re-format and re-install the OS.
I would recommend trying options 1 & 2 before trying 3.
