internet sites 'popping up'

why, when im on the internet do other web sites just 'pop' up at will? they are labelled Cid: (no idea what this is!) this never used to happen! help?

Try downloading the google pop up blocker, it will prevent this

if you go to your internet properties and then onto privacy look at the bottom it will say turn on pop- up blocker if you go into setting you can change to low/med/high mine always on med
