WMV Files to Ipod

I have downloaded a WMV video file from the internet. When i play it, it automatically comes up and playes it on Windows Media Player. That's fine. The problem is when i try to import it onto Itunes, it says it is an invalid exported file. So, then i go to Super, a program which changes the file to MPEG--4 i think or a suitable file to be able to put it on Itunes. I entered it into Super, and then it comes up with an error. When i try to do it again, it says it has already changed it. So then i enter the newly changed file into Itunes. It doesn't come up with anything, it just goes in, but i can't find it, so it can't be in there...Sorry if this is confusing! Any help is appreciated
