Is it safe to download Internet Explorer 7, I use AOL on my PC, I have Windows XP, and can't find explorer loaded anywhere. Also is it safe to upgrade on my computer every time the pop up box asks me to, when I had problems with AOL they told me not to upgrade anything. Thanks all x

Most of the microsoft updates are security updates, so I would install them. I wouldn't bother with Internet Explorer 7.

Internet explorer will be there, if you can't find it in the program list, make a shortcut to iexplore.exe.
I much prefer IE7 to IE6.

Most of the updates from Microsoft are security updates which you should install. They are to fix possible opportunities for viruses and malware to gain access to your computer.
I also think IE7 is better than IE6. Microsoft included several new features because of feedback about IE6.
