gateway locked

Everytime I try to access the internet a yellow warning sign appears informing me that 'My gateway is locked' and consequently cannot access anything apart from msn.
Would really appreciate some help so I'm throwing myself at your mercy

Really depends on what your gateway is? A router?

- Could be security settings on your internet router
- Could be your firewall software is in "Stop Internet Access Mode"

Provide more info on you setup including hardware and Firewall software

Your MSN page sounds like your default webpage which will be cached. If you click on a link does it got to the next page? If not then you have no internet access at all.
