Please can someone help? I bought a new pc and I am having trouble getting the broadband connection sorted out. I previously had a laptop and I used the modem supplied by Tiscali to connect to the internet. The new one has an internal modem instead. I want to use the internal modem this time if possible and I don't know what I need to do now. I currently have no connection at all. Thanks

I don't understand what you mean by internal modem.
It is possible to get internal broadband modems but they are rare. Much more common is the dial up modem.

Or is this a new standard?

Oh, I have no idea, sorry. On the box of the computer it says 'internal modem' so I assumed that I wouldn't need to use the modem Tiscali sent me. Is this wrong?
Yes - that would be old dial up modem, useless for broadband.

You need to connect to the Tiscali modem by cable.
