I have a spreadsheet with email addresses on. I need to input all of these email addresses onto a database,. Everytime I click the 'email address' cell, it automatically tries to generate an email. I have sussed out how to 'remove the hyperlink' (i.e. simply making it a text field using '1', copy, paste special etc) BUT I need to make them all proper working hyperlinks to email addresses once again when I have finished. Any ideas?!

On Excel 2003:
If you need to select a cell that Excel has converted to an email address click and keep the mouse button pressed.
After a second Excel will select the cell rather than trying to generate the email.
If this works for you then it will avoid the need to make it an ordinary text field in the first place.

Just copy the column with the hyperlinks and paste special it as value in another column and use that to enter into the database leaving the hyperlinks intact.

Can you not just upload the file into the database?
