Damn obvious, they're not doing anything that any other system you use on the web is doing. Check the terms of service of Hotmail, Google, Youtube, Myspace, and anything else.

The guy's got ads of that page. He's just stirring the pot to make some money for himself. And you're helping him.

China Doll, maybe ignorance is bliss!!!! did you follow that link, or was it just that you couldn't understand the content!! When I sign up to sites like Answerbank, MSN, My Space etc. I don't expect my information to be shared with all and sundry let alone the way facebook load all the questions to ask all our contacts so they can find out as much about us as possible to sell to other companies and foreign government organisations, but of course you expect all our information to be gathered this way!!

RATTER, nothing on the internet is secure. Hackers can get into the Pentagon site, they can get into yours. But for sites like Facebook, MySpace etc, no hacking is needed - you GIVE the information freely! And the proprietors have unfettered access to it, to do what they choose. Never put into writing anything you wouldn't want the KGB to know.

I expect that if there is a site that someone is making money from then it is worth knowing how they are making money.

I expect that anything put on the WWW is not private.

I make a point of reading terms and conditions when signing up to things.

Therefore, I find the passing on of information from sites like this obvious.

Also, this is purely speculative. I doubt facebook give their data away. I'd like to see proof from the guy that made that video, but I doubt he has it.

I thought everyone knew that pretty much anything you put on the web is not safe?!
If I google my real name it comes up with pages and pages of things i have written on a parenting forum i use, try it yourselves, you maybe surprised - or not if like me, you know its not private!

Just trying to help, I obviously know what goes on, this is how I manage to stay spam free!! but not quite to the extent of facebook!!

So I have learned one thing from this!! the most important thing I have learned is not to try and be helpful coz you will just get a load of know-alls trying to make you look stupid!!!
