Dreamweaver previous versions
5 Answers
I have just had a first lesson on web site design this evening and the tutor talked about the price of buying the software, the cheapest way would be to get a student licence circa 170.
Does anyone know if previous versions can be bought cheaper and of a reliable site/shop from which to get it if yes?
It is not essential to the course as the school has it for student use, but if I decide to design a web site after the course I want the best deal I can find.
I am going to bed in a short while, so if you answer I will come back tomorrow and see results and give thanks.
Thanks in advance by the way.

In the meantime, remember that at the end of your course, you will be so happy editing html that you will have no problem using notepad to edit the mark-up, and a free FTP utility like filezilla to put/get your pages.
The only thing you will really be missing is the 'design view' of dreamweaver which is not wholly reliable anyway.

Thanks ever so much for your answers, even if at this point in my education I need a translator !
Various other options were mentioned and I am sure that by the end I will know much more about what I require. We are going to learn the principles for basic design work and the software just happens to be Dreamweaver. I was staggered at the price and just thought there must be a cheaper option than buying the latest version anyway. A free download was mentioned (NVU I think) and this might be an option in the end.
Thanks again for taking the time to answer.
