Problems with vixy.net

I am experiencing difficulty downloading from You Tube through vixy.net.
I can get "Connecting to server" usually with no further progress. Occasionally I get to "Resolving video URL" and it stops there. A couple of times I got "You Tube Down".
Strange thing is, I have been successful on 4 attempts out of maybe 100, so I know it works. I switched off the "Pop up blocker" and this made no difference. Any suggestions please?
