Blocked images on Firefox

I cannot load any images on Firefox. I have looked at Tools-Options-Content, and Load Images Automatically is ticked, with no exceptions. I have removed Firefox and re-downloaded it, to no avail. Any ideas, anyone?

had this same prob - tried everything to no avail - went away after i ran avast anti virus scan(don't ask me how or why)

No good; when I run Avast it crashes the computer. Perhaps it doesn't like Adaware or Spybot.

I use Avast with Spybot and Adaware without problems.
