My internet.. Help

Hello all me again .. My internet seems to be running really slow, but i dont know why there has been no change. unless a few avi downloads. Can anyone direct me somewhere. I have norton all updated etc. run it every few days, and defreg often and disc cleanup. im just a bit worried in case theres something damaging my computer. I seen a few posts on adaware.. ? Is it urgent i need this. does norton not cover this ? Can someone tell me the best adaware to get free please. ? ? anymore info u need please ask. I have XP and 512 RAm.

oh p.s... this ccleaner.. it wants to overwrite and uninstall my norton.. ? Why? i like my norton!

Norton is a known resource hog and causes many computers to run slowly.That could be a the route of your problems.There are free anti virus software programs that are just as good and that don't cause the problems Norton does. I use AVG by Grisoft and have done for several years now and never had a problem with it.

I agree with daffy654, get rid of Norton, AVG`s best. I had your problem with Norton so ousted it and everything is ok now.
