Which ISP do you use ? AOL perhaps ?

Are you using a Netgear router by chance ?

i use virgin and have belkin router?? i can sign into msn chat but if i msg someone it ok for 1st msg then i dont get any reply but im still online?? and yeh they have replied to me lol cheers

I'm also on virgin (cable) and have had this problem a few times over the last month or so, but not all the time, what normally happens for me is I will get the replies about a day later.

I find the problem is worse if I have MSN set to appear offline while I'm chatting to people.

Not a helpful answer I know
