Overkill ?

I've installed Zone Alarm, Avast, Ad-Aware and Spyware Doctor (all free versions). Is this overkill ? Recommendations, please.

They all do different things, so it isn't overkill. I think out of those listed you have a firewall, virus checker. and the last to are similare but they both pick up things the other one doesn't.

Sounds ok to me , I have Avast! , spybot , Ad-aware freebies , stuck with Windows Vista firewall as I read that's fine & of course Windows Defender .

Zone and Avast are both Firewalls
Rule is always have ONE firewall or else conflicts will occur

Ad aware and Spyware do the same thing so maybe drop one or the other.
