2) Limewire isn't the best type of program for doing peer-to-peer downloading (although the ability to preview what you've downloaded is useful)- you might like to try one of the various "Bit-torrent" programs like Azureus or Utorrent.
I know these aren't the answers you might have wanted, but they would make sense if you're wanting to download software from something like Limewire

I very rarely use limewire, just now and again for the odd single. The last two I downloaded have been corrupted files picked up and deleted by AVG.
I would do as dunworking suggests and remove norton, and download AVG free version.
Try mininova along with utorrent for downloading albums, you can click on comments first, to find out if it`s a good file.

Bit wary of AVG at the minute there's been a lot of problems with the new version 8 , I switched to Avast!
But definitely bin Norton . Best way to get rid of Norton though is to run the Norton removal tool from here http://service1.symantec.com/Support/tsgeninfo .nsf/docid/2005033108162039 .
It's famous for leaving bits of itself on your system
