AOL switches off computer

The last two mornings when I have hit the sign in icon on AOL my computer has switched off and then the safe mode screen has come up. When I start up again I get a message saying windows is recovering from an unexpected shut down. Any ideas would be welcome as to whats happening. Cheers

hmmm AOL's software mucking up a computer... unheard of surely :-/

goto start > settings > control panel > add remove programs and uninstall all aol software and if you really insist on using AOL's own software reinstall it and see if that sorts it out.

This is a common problem with AOL unfortunately. Since the Company were acquired by Car Phone Warehouse hundreds of changes to what was otherwise a satisfactory service have been experienced by AOL customers, leading to volumes of complaints. AOL itself is slowly (but surely) degenerating into a mess. The only satisfactory way is for you to obtain a Mac Code from AOL and join another ISP.
