Right so the best deal I've found is t-mobile but the signal isn't very good, so every now and again I will lose connection.

Was going to try vodafone as my brother has got that and seems fine.

Have done more research online though and orange do a good deal too and its for 18 months but vodafone is 24 months. I'd rather the 18 month deal but my brother on vodafone reckons his is 18 month. He got a free modem and pays 15 a month but on the website the only plan with free modem is a 24 month one.

The plans change constantly - price, less of contract and so on. What your brother has is probably not available now.

Yes I understand but my brother only got his a couple of days ago, I've asked him to check his plan because I think he must be on 24 months.

Does anyone know what Orange Mobile Broadband is like, how fast is it?

Can anyone tell me if vodafone or orange is better?

And lastly, I've been trying to find out what HSPDA means and from what I can gather it makes it a bit faster. Is this right?

Vaodafone has 7.2mbps connection speed which is more than orange which only has 1.8mbps connection speed but the orange one has got hspda so orange might be quicker than vodafone is this right?

Which would be quicker 1.8mbps connection speed with HSPDA or 7.2mbps without HSPDA. Can someone give me a deefinite answer.
7.2 is a bigger number (look at your fingers! ;-)

hp sauce or not ... it's faster.

the only place I can't get a signal is at home .... but my BB anywhere kicks in so it's not an issue ... depending where you go ... fon and openzone often means I have trouble using all my allowance (then again ~I never ring anyone!)
It took me 30 seconds to sign up with 3 mobile on the net. It took me 8 weeks to cancel after making about 50 BT phone calls using premium rate numbers. They just wouldn't listen and kept referring me to another number and no one wanted to take responsibility. I thought Tiscali was bad enough but they took the biscuit!
In terms of Orange mobile phone coverage, I know it's not that good even in big cities, my friend has it and can only get a signal in her spare bedroom (in a new housing estate, not in the sticks).
My employer uses it and at some sites staff have to stand out in the car park to get a signal.
I would imagine mobile broadband coverage would be similar to phone coverage so if you have any friends with Orange phones invite them round for a coffee sometime!
