as a complete newbie to web design, what is the EASIEST way to find out how many people are visiting my site?

Hi There are many different free counters. One good one that lets you choose the colour and layout is www.mycomputer.com . Not only does it have counters but if you choose the option, it sends you the results of each page that you put a counter on, at the frequency you want. (I get mine every day). There are other facilities including message boards. Hope this helps.
