Vista and attachments
5 Answers
I am new to Vista and now use Windows Mail instead of Outlook for email purposes (I don't have Microsoft Office anymore). One fundemental difference I notice is that when I attach photos (from my own photo file) to an email I get the toolbar message that 'Microsoft removed access to these potentially harmful attachments' and instead the photos are embodied in the email itself when it is received although they are not there in the 'sent items' copy. In the body of the email, the photos take quite a while to download and are far too large to be viewed properly (way over full screen) and have to be saved in order to be viewed properly. Is there any way I can switch off this cautious facility please? I have tried clicking on 'view settings' but that only takes me to McAfee and disabling 'email protection' has no effect and the attachments are still blocked (and I remember it is saying that 'Microsoft' has removed them).
