Excel and Powerpoint are not part of Windows XP, or any other version of Windows.

They are part of Microsoft Office and need to be purchased separately.

There is nowhere you can download them for free legally.

If you want to use a free Office package then try OpenOffice.

This has features that are almost exacly the same as Microsoft Office, but it is free (legally)

Thank you , VHG. I meant MS Office, not XP.

All versions of office come with excel so you must have it if you have office

power point only comes with office professional
"power point only comes with office professional"
Which is kinda strabge when you see the quality of presentations most people produce :-)
You apparently don't have Office, just MS Word.

If you just need to view PowerPoint and Excel files just install the free viewers available at Microsoft.

Otherwise get Open Office. It isn't as advanced as MS Office but it is certainly good enough for most users.
