I just had this from bt telling me I can have brodband for � 12 70 a month ,all you have to do is renew your option 1 package , and I dont understand a word of it ,any advice please .

And ac my problem is of being an age where if you are not useing it switch it off and that includes the router, so I dont think I will take up the offer ,and I have just read the small print and the �1.95 saving is not for ever ,so now I am an alien (,always thought I was in this world )

12 months is almost a year ;-0
in internet years that's almost a century.
in that time they could well be paying YOU to take it.
the fon thing - if you are honest ... it isn't worth you bothering ...
if you wander the world with your laptop under your arm ... then you get free internet.
but in reality ... it's just a public spirited token ... which costs you nothing except for a bit of bandwidth (and then only if someone latches on - and you haven't switched it off)
if its what you consider a good deal grab it - next year there will be another offer ... carpe diem
you get nothing for loyalty ... not even a permanent e-mail address
