Relocating my Downloads folder?
3 Answers
At the moment my downloads folder address is C:\Downloads. If I get an external hard drive and plug it into my PC and then right click on my C:Downloads folder and click on Send To and send C:\Downloads to the external hard drive will that work ok or do I need to do other things too. Will all future downloads automatically go to the downloads folder in the external drive rather than on the PC's C:\ drive? Assuming of course that I keep power to the external hard drive when it's in use.

you can move you downloads folder the way you described, it will work fine.
once you have done that then in firefox you will need to change the default download location.
Click on the tools menu, then options, click on the main tab at the top.. then about half way down put a tick into "save files to" then click browse next to it and select the location of the new download folder on the external hard drive.
