Black screen

I have no idea what I have done. Laptop was working fine. I think I may have done something to my firewall settings. The wireless switch on the side of the laptop was off, now, when I try to connect to the internet I get a blue screen with a message which doesnt stay long enough to read, then just a black screen with the Sony logo ! All programmes etc are there but as soon as I flick the wireless switch, Nothing.
Can anyone please help ?? (in words of one syllable)
