Alliance & Leicester Credit Card

My son has an Alliance & Leicester credit card. There were no problems until he wanted a replacement card because his had become damaged when rubbing against other cards in his wallet.

He applied for a replacement card in March but was apparently told that none were being issued because the right type of plastic was not currently available. This reads like an incredible fairytale to me but he is 42 years old and not a kid with money problems.

Has any other Alliance & Leicester customer had the same problems?

I forgot to mention that the damaged card was a credit card & a bank card.
I have heard of this happening before, but it does seem odd. I can't see A&L telling porky pies about this. Your son will need to press the bank as he needs a card that works.
