internet explorer 8 not displaying webpages

i have just updated to internet explorer 8 and now certain webpages cannot be displayed, particularly on ebay, the network diagnosis doesnt see a connection problem, where or what should i do to find out why,

It could be that you need to turn on the so-called compatibilty view.

Right click on a blank part of the menu bar and make sure compatibility view button is selected and then click this button when on the offending sites. There are so many incompatible sites that you wonder what is compatible.

Better still, install Firefox and use the Internet Explorer compatibility addon whenever you need it!

Unfortunately Compatibility View does not fix everything. Never be an early adopter of major Microsoft upgrades.

Some users are finding the IE8 is continually crashing. Some of the problems are apparently due to other add on applications that are not compatible.

I upgraded to IE8 had a load of trouble crashing, running slow so i went back to IE7 and i am not going to 8 unless i really have to.

Agree with everything said so far. The latest IE is rubbish. I now use Firefox which is really quick to load pages and doesnt crash or lock up.
