changing of letters

As I mentioned earlier my computer crashed and was fixed. Anyway my figure 2 on keyboard is now instead of when I shift on it - it should be inverted commas but it is an ampersan and where the ampersan is on the keyboard it is inverted commas - any help out there

try checking to see if keyboard is set up as UK or american as this has happened at work before (through the control panel)

Region and Language Settings
On the Languages tab - click Details button
Ensure that you have The English (UK) keyboard installed, and if so set it as the default.
If it's not there, click Add and add it, then set it as the default.
Click OK

Sounds like the people who set up your machine were pretty careless, so you might also want to check the Regional Options tab, and ensure that that is also set to English UK.
