Have installed a mobile broadband (pay as you go) onto Toshiba laptop (Windows Vista home basic) and now windows keeps shutting down. What is the problem and how can I sort it. Vodafone installed the actual dongle.

I have no idea.

My GUESS is that it is a bad or conflicting driver.

I would take it back to Vodaphone.

Windows XP and Vista does keep a message log, and you could look in there to see if there are any messages.

Look in the Event Viewer in the Administrative Tools section of the Control Panel.

Look in Application Messages or System Messages.
