Not Responding

I have got a Dell Inspiron Mini Netbook, and it has been fine for the first couple of months, but the last two nights all I get is 'not responding' when I try to get onto Internet Explorer. Is it me, the netbook or IE? Any ideas?

how about the internet connection - router on?
