Just fell for the oldest trick - BEWARE !
Got a couple of EMails from my credit card peeps advising I had mail.Clicked on link in EMail - the rest they say is history.
2K transferred from my account -thankfully cos of CC companies security they were suspicious and although the money is out my account I wont be accountable for it.
Police involved -think a lot fell for it.
I am mortified -I cant believe that I fell for it.
I just wanted to warn people that this seems to be a very active 'fraud' ongoing on a massive scale ATM.
Advice I got was -dont have any financial links on your tool bar -always access on line banking etc via WWW and not google and dont click links on EMails (guilty of all 3)
HTH anyone feeling as bleeding duped as me.

I'm amazed that people are still falling for this sort of thing after all the warnings - and we brits are the world leaders in scam falling and spam buying
the explanations on how to spot a scam are wonderful .... and so naive - there is only one explanation needed ...
(sorry rosetta ... - uppercase is also used for emphasis - loosen your underware a bit - deep breaths ....)
IF IT'S IN YOUR INBOX IT'S SPAM
no other explanation needed ... if you don't know them personally ...
or haven't asked for e-mail (newsletters and such) from sites you visit
it's a scam IT'S SPAM
ideally your e-mail is set to display only the subject line ... because preview is exactly the same as opening the mail.
it's brits, it's the facebook generation ... expecting to be contacted by "friends" who you've never heard of

Thanks AC for your support -I did hesitate about highlighting it then I thought why not -a wee bit of flak is worth if it helps others to be more vigilant and not become complacent as I obviously had become.
