I've set up my Skype privacy to allow only people in my contact list to contact me, but I keep getting strangers popping up in the list asking to be added. I block them as soon as they appear but still keep getting more. How can I stop unwanted contacts?

Suffering the same problem. I emaild Skype support several times and asked the same question but never get an answer.
These messages are 'add me to your contacts' requests, usually sent by bots as a form of spam.
The problem is that if Skype preventing people not on your contact list from sending 'add me' me messages, it would be impossible for any one to add contacts.
Just block them and report them as abusive.
