Programme installation help please

Hello I have let my 11 year old son loose on the computer but im finding since i cannot install any programms,i mean none!
I get the message which reads.....Internet Explorer was not able to open this site as it is either unavailable or cannot be found.
Its happening on every site i visit and only found out as i was trying to install flash player for him.
Ive ran spyware,maleware and uninstalled my anti virus but still nothing heelllllllp please xx

Google "Internet Explorer was not able to open this site as it is either unavailable or cannot be found" and you get many answers on what to do, first couple are from Microsoft.

Not telling you to go away, just the easiest way for you to find the solution to your particular problem. Easier than trying to write the answer down here - if that makes sense!

Thanks i did try microsoft but they said uninstall ie7 but first u have to uninstall xp service pack 3 which wont uninstall,il try your answer now thanks x

How can she do what you say if she can't access the internet?? Unless she's got anaother computer.

I do have a laptop and i can access the computer where the error message is i just cannot download any programmes.
Anyways here is microsofts answer which explains nothing to me
To resolve this problem, click to clear the Prevent Caching of Protected Pages on Client check box on the RSA SecurID tab of the Outlook Web Access Web publishing rule.

The easiest solution is probably to do a 'system restore'. the system is restored by the operating system usually every 2 or 3 times/week. Just use a date before your son was let loose on the computer.

The dates when a restore is possible are the dates that are highlighted in the calender.
