speed and price
Hello.
i have been trying to get my broadband for less money, with some success.
today, Sky offered me 20mgs speed with unlimited downloads for £10 a month.
then, O2 told me that i would never get a speed of 20mgs, because i lived too far from the transmitter (I think that was the word he used) so it was a waste of money. but they could offer me 8mgs and unlimited downloads for £7.34 a month, and the first three months for free.
so i went with O2.
but then i did a speed test on my current broadband and it said 1929 kbps. does this figure equate to almost 20mgs, and if so, are O2 lying to me.
i live in north london, N8.
cheers

20Mb would require you to live very near to your exchange. Recent reports suggest that 2-4Mb is the rough average for customers using an ADSL broadband connection (phone line type).
