Too many addressees

I sometimes receive e-mails addressed to, say, 20 or 30 people. When I try to Reply All I get an error report saying that there are too many addressees and identifying one of them. When I erase that one, I get the same error message with another one identified. And so on. Others have no problem in Replying to All. What am I doing wrong?
