does anyone else using bbc i player think the picture is a bit on the soft side?
my comp is a good spec so is my graphics card
all runs well but cant tweak the sharpening as the iplayer uses adobe player
its a bit annoying

It's a side effect of the encoding that is required to compress the video to a size small enough that you can download it fast enough to view it. (the bbc encode their lower quality stuff at a bit rate of 516Kbs which is actually pretty low)

Mine seems to be fine....are you using the latest version of Adobe Flash Player?.......i have out on the link for latest version download.

My ITV player is good too, as are CH4 on demand and Five on Demand.

mine uses adobe air actually but thanks yogi, prob a souped up version of flash player,
i meant to add in my first question that i use full screen to watch these players
I'm watching the Murray match at the moment......picture is pretty good....
Yeah the iPlayer picture is pretty poor in full screen. My laptop is 17" and True HD, I have the latest Flash, and use Air as well. I waited ages for a Mac iPlayer version to come out as well as the other channel players and they are all pretty poor
