AVG Tray Monitor trying to access the internet

When I try to connect to the internet the above has just started to pop up, what does it do please? I recently changed to Firefox which is great but it seems to have slowed down a bit in the last few days. Might there be a connection, I can still connect whether I deny or accept the tray monitor. TIA rosy

Simplest thing for you is; remove AVG totally from your PC and install something abit better!!! Maybe Norton??

Thank you northern monkey for your advice, I am quite happy with AVG, I just wanted to know what the Tray Monitor is. rosy

AVG is great, had nothing but trouble with norton. PC is mush faster since dumping the overpriced Mr Norton for the free darling that is AVG
