I downloaded IE 8 last week....It took over 3/4 of an hour, and since then I am running SO SLOW.... I have now put Firefox on..Do I remove IE 8 or leave it, and do I have to do anything else about Firefox, or is it now fully on? Thanks, John

IE8 remains....just use Firefox, it's much faster
You can have as many internet browsers on your computer as you like, they are completely separate programs; you can have them all running simultaneously if you really want to.

I usually use Coppernic Agent to get started (It's not a browser is it?) so if I click on it who takes me to the page,Firefox or IE? (I'm a bit behind on computerspeak!) John
whatever is set to be your default browser. you can have as many as you want installed but only one can be set to be the default.

Thanks all Have removed IE and made Firefox default browser I just hope it speeds things up a bit! John
Copernic is waste of time and bandwidth. It is probably more the problem than the browser. Google is still the best search engine and submitting the query to multiple search engine is pointless.

Good luck with Firefox. Apparently 3.6 is giving considerable grief.
I had lots of problems with IE, I tried Firefox, that was better but not great, I now use Opera, I wish that I had found it a long time ago.
