Sending emails with BT internet

Four problems, I am new to BTinternet. How do I insert a photo into an email, rather than as an attachment ? And how can I make up a Spam file so spam doesn't keep going in my inbox ? Also when I open the 'To' box to send emails to contacts, a lot of my contacts are duplicated in the square window that appears in the middle of the screen, but when I try to remove duplications as per their thread, it says I don't have duplicate contacts ! they are not duplicated in the pull down menu, but in the square window which appears in the middle for me to OK. Last thing (for now): What is the easiest way to send block emails without keep pressing 'To', going down the list, pressing OK, going over to 'To' again etc. Hope I make myself clear .. I don't necessarily want to send them to everyone in my list.

It doesn't matter which company your email account is with, what we need to know is which email program you use on your computer. Or are you using webmail?
I am using Microsoft Outlook 2010, so I'll give you instructions for that. It might be a a bit different for your email program.
To insert a photo into an email, click anywhere in the new message, click on the 'Insert' menu, click on 'Picture', choose your picture, click on 'Insert'. (I think this is the same in Outlook Express (the free program on most computers))
For spam, click on 'Junk' under the 'Home' tab, click on 'Junk E-mail Options',l choose your option (I'd suggest 'Low'), and click on 'OK'. (There are less junk mail options in Outlook Express)
If your regularly send emails to the same group of people, you can make a group. Then you only have to select the group name each time you send an email to that group. Click on 'Contacts' and then on 'New Contact Group'. Then add the people you in the group, and save the group.

I use Outlook Express and agree with Koster about using the insert feature to put a picture into a email rather than as an attachment. One thing to note is that pictures can be large in terms of KBs and may take a long time for recipients to download, especially if they do not have broadband. I find Micrografx Picture Publisher very useful for re-sizing and compression of pictures which can reduce their KB size before inserting them in an email. Hope this is helpful.
