Problems with desktop, or other!

When I click on any of my short-cuts on my desktop, I get a panel come up saying ''cannot find www, (whatever the site is) and ask me to try again or check spelling.

The only way I can get them is through my Bookmarks.
I am on Firefox.

Firefox needs to be active when Ctrl + click

click open Firefox....then hover over shortcuts & Ctrl + left click mouse.

How did those shortcuts get on your desktop? Did you put them there or did they come installed with the computer.
