internet/router problems

[what..the?]

I keep being kicked on and off the internet for the last three days at times, I can seem to get on the internet at times so connections have not been completely lost. Can some one help I have checked my connections, logged on the the router rebooted the router, rebooted then colled down and switched back on? It still seems to be problematic. The only thing I think looks differnt on the router settings is;

WAN
Virtual Circuit : PVC0
Status : Not Connected
Connection Type : PPPoA
IP Address : 0.0.0.0
Subnet Mask : 0.0.0.0
Default Gateway : Node1
DNS Server : 0.0.0.0

This usually says connected and numbers

I dont know what this means and when I go into Diagnostic Test it says

Virtual Circuit: PVC0

>> Testing ATM OAM end to end ping ... SKIPPED
>> Ping Primary Domain Name Server . SKIPPED
>> Ping www.yahoo.com ... SKIPPED

earlier before reboot it said ping primary doman name server 'fail'

EDIMAX ADSL2+ ROUTER

Can anyone help please

EDIMAX are crap routers to be honest, but I'd try another ADSL filter first.

I'd also try it plugged directly into your master socket if it's on an extension lead at the moment.
