subscription to Youtube

Dear Ed, I am sure you and your team are extremely busy, but I would appreciate your help, please. I asked a question about the above yesterday, both on this section and in Chatterbank, but haven't as yet, had a response from anyone.

I recently (I think it was yesterday Friday 14th) found an e.mail in my inbox purporting to be from AB, saying that I had been subscribed to Youtube. Have you done this for AB members? I get the feeling, judging by the lack of response, that this may have been spam, and I "spammed" the e.mail altogether. But I'm still a bit concerned ... and would appreciate your response/advice. Did you send this e.mail to all AB members?

This is all rather strange.....and also I am anxious to hear what the Ed has to say on the matter. I haven't had such a communication as you have received but would like to hear what the ED and/or possible other ABers have to say on the issue concerned.

Dear Chokkie,

We have not subscribed You to Youtube. We do now have our own Youtube account. If you also have an account it is possible we've subscribed to your channel - i.e. we're interested in what you post on Youtube.

If you don't have a Youtube account I am unsure what the email is about, and as such, treat with caution!

Hi AB Ed, sorry to be a nagbag ... thanks for your response. I only ever look at the occasional video onYoutube, but I certainly don't subscribe to it or post anything on it myself! Thanks for the clarification, much appreciated. I did delete that e.mail anyway, and will do the same to anything similar in the future. Thanks again, and sorry for hassling you. Chox.

Hi Chox....I am pleased that the Ed has clarified matters. Although I can't understand why he has gone back to being a Gnome in his Avatar; which I thought had been altered to a big question mark.

I always enjoy getting e/mails from AB. Got one for this thread but sometimes they are missing.
