Server will not accept SSL

I have tried to send e-mail to a customer service dept. and got this message....The server does not support a SSL connection.

Subject 'O/N swsm-yw-1899371'
Server Error: 250
Server Response: 250 HELP
Server: 'relay.plus.net'
Windows Live Mail Error ID: 0x800CCC7D
Protocol: SMTP
Port: 25
Secure(SSL): Yes

Can anyone please explain what this means.

You are trying to send email using SSL and the server doesn't support it

click tools > accounts, then double click the plus.net account in the list (there may only be one) when the properties box comes up click on the advanced tab and take the ticks out of both of the "this server requires SSL connection" boxes
